Journaling:
Dear Santa,

I have been a good girl.

It really wasn't my fault what happened at Marti's Christmas party. It was Patti who spiked the punch with too much champagne. I can't help it if I drank 13 glasses. It was so good---smelled and tasted just like Peppermint.

I thought it was funny when I put Krissy's sweater on my head and danced the Jingle Bell Rock on the Rocking Chair while singing `Silent Night'. I didn't mean to break Marti's computer and don't know why Marti would sue me for theft.

I don't remember calling Greg's wife a Creative Cow---even though she looked like one with pink eye shadow and green lipstick!

And when I threw up on Maryfrances's husband's hand, it was only because I ate too much of
that turkey.

After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my sleigh through my neighbor's kitchen. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a happy dog and have me arrested for fraud!

So, Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all fun and silly. And I'm really not to blame for any of this pretty stuff. Please bring me what I want the most---bail money!

Sincerely and Boldly Yours,
Julie Ann (Really a nice
Girl!)

P.S. It's only 7 bucks!

Journaling: The last thing we expected on Christmas morning was to see about a million prsents under the tree. The year was probably one of thoese years between 1984 and 1987. My parents had our family spend the night at my Aunt Dianne’s house, with her husband and three girls. The combination of presents from both families on Christmas morning made it look like there really might be a million gifts there. It was an amazing sight. I have to admit not much else from that holiday stands out in my mind except for that surprise.
