Definition of Gratitude
Gratitude is the feeling of being grateful: a positive feeling which involves a desire to thank another person. In a religious context, gratitude can also refer to a feeling of indebtedness towards a deity, e.g. God in Christianity.

Psychological research (Emmons & McCullough, 2003) has suggested that feelings of gratitude may be beneficial to subjective emotional well-being. In people who are grateful in general, life events have little influence on experienced gratitude (McCullough, Tsang & Emmons, 2004).

I am grateful for:
1. my dearest husband who told me tonight that he will love me even if I weighed 300 pounds, his love is unconditional
2. the fact that he lets me use our kitchen as my scrap space until our renovations have been completed
3. that my sister is safe and sound at the hospital this weekend due to an infection in her thumb, cause unknown....I believe the Universe has given her a well-deserved break from life in the fast lane
4. going on a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Hawaii in about 12 days
