April's Roundup

I never got around to doin' my month in review for April...so I guess I'll do it now!

What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
1. BHG Scrapbooks Etc. Design Secrets
2. Jo Ann ScrapEssentials Vol. 2

What movies and/or tv shows did I watch this month?
I watched the usual: Wife Swap, American Idol, Bones, Law & Order (various versions), The Office, What About Brian, Love Monkey, So Notorious (yes, I'll admit it even if it's cheesy), Tiara Girls, Real World, Current TV (my new favorite channel). I did watch more TV this month because we finally got digital cable.

What special days did I celebrate and how?
We don't really celebrate Easter however my mother did come to visit the week after Easter. Also at the beginning of the month, David and I took a mini-vacation to Toronto for a very long weekend and really had a blast!

What illnesses or health concerns did I have in April?
Continued getting treated for the neck injury. My right shoulder started hurting and I found out I strained my rotator cuff. Otherwise, health was excellent.

What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
Patti West and I spent the night at Marti Drake's home in Watertown for an overnight crop. Well, we cropped during the day and slept at night! That was fun and Marti's boys are adorable.

What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try in April?
We tried the Italian restaurant "Veni Vedi Vici" in Little Italy in Toronto...yummy authentic Italian cuisine! Marti also made some yummy goodies for us while we were at her house.

What special or unusual purchases did I make?
I got another desk/workspace for my scraproom so I'd stop sitting on the floor! Mom and I watched QVC together when Nancy Hill was showing my layouts, and I ordered for her the laser-cut tag set as an early Mother's Day gift. I did go crazy overall in my scrapbook spending in April...something I have to stop doing.

What were this month’s disappointments?
I did decide to let go of my subscription to letsjusttalk.com and while I'll miss all the ladies there I am very happy to be free of the guilt I had for not being able to devote the time necessary to keep up there.

What were my accomplishments this month?
Seeing my work on QVC for the first time! Kept up with all my DT assignments for DCWV and Scrapbookeronline.com.
