Big Picture Journaling

I am taking Amy Sorenson's amazing Journaling class at Big Picture Scrapbooking. This layout was created for the first class. I started the layout yesterday but had not done the journaling and it was perfect for her first lesson. My problem is that I have too much to say. As you can see there is not much room for journaling. My solution: type main journaling onto transparencies, and write extra on tags that go in a hidden pocket. The journaling is below.

"He lives the poetry that he cannot write..." Oscar Wilde

I still get joy from these pictures when I look at them. They are the product of a year and a half of planning, many hours spent online pouring over ideas of what had been done by others and what vendors had to offer. These are some of the ideas I presented to my even coordinator for her to help me make them a reality, much like one would take ideas from magazines to an interior decorator or designer. This vision for my wedding represented my personality, and my strength in visual communication. It was important to me to have my wedding be elegant and
romantic while steering away from symbols that could be seen as overly sweet or "twee" (affectedly or excessively dainty, delicate, cute or quaint.). Furthermore, I wanted for every minute of my wedding day, for every inch of the ceremony and reception, people to say, "Only Julie could have thought of that and presented it in this way."

This day that David and I were to make our sacred commitment to a lifelong marriage was the most important day of our lives, and every decision was a symbol of that. I look at these photos and all that comes to mind is joy. Forgotten is the stress of that time period, the stress that every bride feels as the deadline of the big day approaches, with anxiety that it all be perfect. I see these photos and still feel confident that there were no better inspirations for my wedding.

Now that day is all but a memory. The proof that it existed is in my scrapbook. The following quote sums up all that I feel about these photos, "Poetry is plucking at the heartstrings, and making music with them." Dennis Gabor

First off, I LOVE your solution for lots of journaling. I struggle with that sometimes, too. Gorgeous photos, and the journaling is great!
