It really helps that I made up a few pages ahead of time and just add journaling and finishing touches.

Journaling: Our last minute plans are to go to the Geva Comedy Improv show at 10:30 pm tonight. Dave
found out he does not have to work tonight after all so we are going to have an awesome day and
start to a New Year!!

I found an adult letter generator here: http://forums.acadianamoms.com/viewtopic.php?t=2092

Journaling:
Dear Santa,

I have been a good girl.

It really wasn't my fault what happened at Marti's Christmas party. It was Patti who spiked the punch with too much champagne. I can't help it if I drank 13 glasses. It was so good---smelled and tasted just like Peppermint.

I thought it was funny when I put Krissy's sweater on my head and danced the Jingle Bell Rock on the Rocking Chair while singing `Silent Night'. I didn't mean to break Marti's computer and don't know why Marti would sue me for theft.

I don't remember calling Greg's wife a Creative Cow---even though she looked like one with pink eye shadow and green lipstick!

And when I threw up on Maryfrances's husband's hand, it was only because I ate too much of
that turkey.

After all that fun, I admit I was a little tired. So I fell asleep on my way home and drove my sleigh through my neighbor's kitchen. I don't think that was any reason for my neighbor to call me a happy dog and have me arrested for fraud!

So, Santa...here I sit in my jail cell on Christmas Eve, all fun and silly. And I'm really not to blame for any of this pretty stuff. Please bring me what I want the most---bail money!

Sincerely and Boldly Yours,
Julie Ann (Really a nice
Girl!)

P.S. It's only 7 bucks!

JYC #20
Journaling: The last thing we expected on Christmas morning was to see about a million prsents under the tree. The year was probably one of thoese years between 1984 and 1987. My parents had our family spend the night at my Aunt Dianne’s house, with her husband and three girls. The combination of presents from both families on Christmas morning made it look like there really might be a million gifts there. It was an amazing sight. I have to admit not much else from that holiday stands out in my mind except for that surprise.

JYC #15
Journaling: I am happy that it appears the new tradition is to have my side of the family over on Christmas Eve. It is the favorite night of mine of the whole holiday season. My parents and sister will arrive in the afternoon, have dinner and exchange gifts. My parents will spend the night before traveling back to Ohio the next day. We’ll have the in-laws over the weekend before Christmas to see the house and play cards like Euchre. Good times.

Journal Your Christmas Day 13

Journaling: I was pleasantly surprised that there was a bit of order to the passing of the presents. last year. I always feel a little bad for my Mother-In-Law who is so busy passing the gifts that she doesn’t see them get opened. I don’t quite feel comfortable enough to suggest that something new be tried.

Journaling: One thing that would make Christmas the way it used to be is for us to find a neighborhood that lights luminaires that line their street. My father used to drive us to neighborhoods in Mansfield, Ohio when we were children to see thesee sights. Peaceful, romantic,
even holy.

Time to Get Organized

3:49 PM Posted In Edit This 0 Comments »

Rarely does something grab my heart and it's love at first sight. But I saw one of these in person yesterday and I had to have it!

It's all part of my master plan to keep my scrapbook room orderly. I'm also signed up for the Big Picture class by Wendy Smedley called Get Organized and Be Inspired.

Today's JYC Entry

Journaling: I absolutely could not resist the feather tree when I saw it combined with K & Co. Paper Ornaments. I surprised David by having the tree up and half of the ornaments finished by the time he got home last night. He loved it immediately. I love the cottage-feel of the ornaments.

Journal Your Christmas Day 10

Prompt 10 for JYC
Last year I used my gift wrap on the page and since I still have the same gift wrap, I decided to find a photo on flickr that I could use. I stumbled upon this gift wrap table by Jenny Heid. You can see more of her work here: http://www.glitterandgrunge.com/jennyhei.html

I love her gift tags!

Journaling: Perhaps someday I will have my act together enough to be as crafty and as pulled-together as Jenny Heid of Everyday Is A Holiday (her gift-wrapping table shown.) Perhaps someday I will have the art of giving down.
