Father's Day Present

This is a present for my Father-In-Law (see Shahin-Era Bishop Kearney Music) who was a Marching Band Director, and award-winning composer. The trophy wood piece is from Say It With Letters. All the supplies are by Christina Renee - her paper for Prima then the rest of the digital is from her store. Physical ribbon, flower and brad from my stash.

Yes, now that I think about it - I didn't post in on my blog in case my mother-in-law got a glimpse.

WANT a SWEET CT gig for end of May’ish-July? I’d like to see what you can come up with ONLY using what’s in this “Build a Bloom” set. Yes, you can use fonts and of course pictures but otherwise I want to see your brain in action. :) I’ll also give out 1st place-$15GC to CRD, 2nd-$10 and 3rd $5.

French Twist may be my first full size digital kit, but I put my heart and soul into it. With beautiful reds, elegant blacks and a little funky turquoise, this kit does the twist in a real French way. The twelve French papers are elegant and richly textured with the look and feel of silk. The kit also has a couple of 12 x 12 overlays and seven of the designs I used for creating my papers. The little cherub riding the swan is to die for. Collecting all the elements together for this kit was a blast. I dug through all my little vintage collectables to come up with twenty-five delightful accents. From the hand doodled and glittered Eiffel tower to the vintage “jewel” encrusted crown, to the vintage tube of glass bugle beads, I think there is something you will find here that is unique and FUN. I even included a piece of my grandmother’s torn hankie and my great-grandmother’s posies. (hmmm… I wonder where you might have seen some of these before?) Just in case you want to put a title on your layout, a nicely size upper case alpha is cut out of vintage ephemera. There is just too much here to list everything, but I promise you won’t be disappointed. This kit is packed with over 250 meg of French fun. And for a very limited time (wink, wink), an add-on pack of sorta-solid papers is included in your downloads, just because we LOVE you.

Tulips tiptoe and daffodils dally. I have no idea where I pulled that name from, but you can’t help but smile when you open this little kit. The five solid papers are bright and cheerful and they perfectly coordinate with the two vintage fabrics (from old feed sacks) that I just had to share with you. The tulip frame is a beautiful vintage illustration from a children’s book from the 1800’s. Add a hot pink bow made out of silk and you can envision those little Tulips as they Tiptoe.

Here is half of an announcement I've been waiting to make:

I've joined the Hybrid Team for Christina Renee Designs!
Christina opened her shoppe 6 months ago, and was planning a re-launch for the anniversary date however due to CHA, she has postponed the re-launch. I decided to go ahead and share here that I've joined her team because I have a creation up on her blog, Authentic Artistry, and a new layout that I can share. Lots more to come when the re-launch happens.
